Then years later my son Jim taught along with Alex in St Oliver Plunkett Primary School.  Alex was at my son Jim's wedding 10 years ago this July.  So I am forwarding on this to my brother Jim in Canada and my son Jim in Ballymena!, Cheers Joe...Nuala.

Please leave wishes of Good Will to Deirdre and Alex in the guest  book.

A Musical Wedding For Deirdre And Alex

By Joe Graham

What a treat it was to be present at the wedding Of Deirdre Campbell and Alex Quinn at Holy Trinity Church on Easter Monday past, a truly joyous event and as you would expect a memorable musical event. Alex, the third part of that complete talent , "Barnbrack ", who have delighted many audiences, and indeed brought many a nostalgic tear to the eyes Belfast exiles around the world, for now over a quarter of a century, with the Belfast Anthem, "Belfast",( written by Alex).

Fr. Matt Wallace.P.P. introduced an unexpected  pleasure at the end of the Mass, when he announced, "And now, two gentlemen from the congregation  have a surprise for Alex and Deirdre ", and up walked the bold Owen McMahon and Jimmy McPeake, the other two members of the legendary group and led a laughing Alex up to join them in the singing  of their famous song, "Belfast", and Jimmy, the joker , as usual, even invited Deirdre to come and join them as the new and fourth  member of the group, and join them she did as the strains of the all time favouite filled the church, what a treat.
